Let’s hope the justices rule against Trump’s claims regarding tariffs and the removal of Fed governors.

The nation’s most important economic decisions are rarely made by the Supreme Court. But this is the Trump era, when seemingly everything goes to the Supreme Court, which often sides with the president.

We may soon see two exceptions, however. For the sake of our economy and our Constitution, let’s hope so. (Full disclosure: I have joined hundreds of economists and lawyers in signing friend-of-the-court briefs in both cases.)
